Bob Hoffland VIEW PROFILE

Robert Leland “Bob” Hoffland, age 72, of Viroqua, WI, passed away with his family by his side at Vernon Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. He was born in Viroqua, the son of Leland and Edith (Cox) Hoffland. Bob graduated from Viroqua High School in 1970 and then went to work at Arneson’s Beer Distributor. October 6, 1973, he married Debra Sennes. They enjoyed many years of marriage and raising a family. Bob eventually purchased a milk truck in 1980 and hauled for the Liberty Pole Cheese Factory. He joined UPS in 1985, driving double-trailer semis until retiring in 2010. Even after retirement, Bob continued to drive for the area's Amish as long as he could. When not driving, you could count on him to talk or tell a story, especially over a cup of coffee. He and his family bought a hobby farm outside Viroqua in 1996, reminding him of his childhood. Bob enjoyed maintaining the property and having the space to store his prized 442 and gave him the opportunity to practice his golf game with his grandsons.

Bob is survived by his wife of 51 years, Deb; children: Scott (Hollie) Hoffland and Kim (Moe) Seifi; two grandsons: Dalton and Brooks Hoffland; siblings: Shirley Tollefson, Beverly Mageland, Linda (Chet) Kreft, Richard (Vickie) Hoffland, and Randy (Kay) Hoffland.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law: Gus Tollefson and Terry Mageland.

A funeral service followed by a time of food and fellowship celebrating Bob’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Viroqua. Private family burial will take place at the Viroqua Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church
